Job Description:

Primary duty is to manage Coiners, Press area, Shipping/Receiving and Assembly

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Verify LYNQ data daily and transfer to Macola
  • Scheduling production in Coining and Press and Assembly area to meet delivery requirements
  • Coordination of work assignments, training new employees and completion of daily reports and paperwork
  • Handles various production problems and is the resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues
  • Leads others effectively and gains their cooperation
  • Performs Maintenance on equipment as required/troubleshoot
  • Ensure quality of product through periodic inspection
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges and to perform inspections as required per work instructions
  • Works from drawings, samples and work instructions
  • Utilize previously prepared programs and assigned tooling to complete each job
  • Ability to read work order instructions and carry out directions as necessary
  • Set each job up based on program instructions, work order instructions and job prints
  • Act as an extension of the Ops lead at all times and help ensure that manufacturing operations is a safe and productive environment
  • Team Lead is a supplement to the Supervisor in the execution of their responsibilities When asked to, the Team Lead will act on behalf of, and under the direction of, the Ops Lead, except in cases when pay changes or disciplinary action is required
  • Be a leader on the manufacturing floor by promoting a positive culture, providing manufacturing assistance, communicating required support (i.e., Engineering, Quality, TSG, etc.) and serving as a role model for behaviors expected
  • Assist in the development of daily manufacturing manpower assignments (including overtime) and operational objectives
  • Lead daily shift start up meeting when required
  • Communicate operations issues/roadblocks with Ops leads
  • Maintain proper lines of communication with all Ops leads and Team Leads (verbal, written and electronic)
  • Monitor the flow of manufacturing orders as directed by Ops lead
  • Escalate any violations to Company policies/procedures to your Ops lead immediately
  • Practice “Zero” tolerance with any Safety violation by reporting them immediately
  • Participate and be engaged with Continuous Improvement activities and assist in developing methods to improve manufacturing practices
  • Understand and strive to achieve operational performance objectives such as Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and 6S
  • Participate and be engaged with any required training

Other Duties:

  • Operator forklift daily
  • Work in an efficient and timely manner, multitasking where necessary
  • Keep work area, including top of machines and floor clean at all times
  • Notify Supervisor of any problems or malfunctions of machine
  • Able to operate forklift to get material for each job and to stage in the proper location
  • Identify areas for process improvement, cost and waste reduction
